All The Lancers Do is Win Win Win, No Matter What
Another regular season crown, and another tourney tile, this time leading to a first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.

On March 16, 2024, at Orleans Arena, ‘All I Do Is Win’ DJ Khaled came over the sound system following an epic Western Athletic Conference women’s basketball championship game.
If you have been following along…at least down the stretch of the 2023-24 season…you knew who was going to represent the WAC at the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Somehow, some way, the California Baptist Lancers found a way to knock down not just one, but two 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter to take a lead they never relinquished.
Nae Nae Calhoun from the top of the key. Then, Nhug Bosch Duran from the corner.
In just over the span of a minute, CBU took the lead for good, en route to its second WAC Tournament title in four years.
“All I do is win, win, win, no matter what”
It blazed around the Orleans Arena as CBU head coach Jarrod Olson and his team took the stage to accept their trophy, and a first-ever ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
You see, four years ago, Olson and the Lancers stood on this very stage. It was part of an undefeated regular season, WAC regular season championship, and WAC tourney championship.
However, due to the transition rules, the Lancers ONLY got to celebrate a tourney title. Not a ticket to the Big Dance.
Not so much in 2024. In its first season of eligibility for the NCAA Tournament, CBU ran its way to a sweep of the regular season and tournament titles en route to its first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.
